Alex 2.0

Either Alex really liked the last set of pictures I did for him or really hated them, because he asked if we could do another shoot...or he just needs more pictures for Instagram! haha! Either way it was fun doing another set together, this time down in the SODO district of Seattle. It's great getting to know this guy more as we spend more time together! Definitely a testament to "not judge a book by its cover". Thanks for helping me practice shooting guys Alex (Also, sorry about the grease!) ! Enjoy!

Basin Lake

What a breathtaking and awe-inspiring day we have to owe to Mr. Peter Faul (pictured above) here! Well actually, I credit everyone here with joining Peter and I on this hike; we wanted to venture and experiment with our cameras (of which I have a whole other story!), and they were kind and willing enough to tag along! It was not as easy many of us were hoping it would be, but the views were TOTALLY and COMPLETELY worth it (for me at least...ask them and they may have a different opinion)!! However, I happened to pull off a big oops (surprise, surprise) at the very beginning of the day, when I left my camera in the charger...in the outlet...at my house. Of course, I couldn't come to this realization until we had gotten to our first of many rests on the trail! And so I especially owe this day to Peter, not only for being our trailblazer/guide/motivator, but also for letting me borrow his camera to capture these shots! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Peter!!!!!! I also need to give a HUGE shoutout to my Mom, who was an absolute rockstar, securing her spot as coolest parent out there for tackling the 12 miles (rounded up to sound more impressive) with us young'n's!! Basin Lake did NOT disappoint and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for some adventure and nature therapy!! Enjoy!

Abby

YES! Praise the Lord! I FINALLY got to do a shoot with my best friend! For those of you that don't know, this is the face of the amazing, encouraging, beautiful, inspiring, lovable Abby FREAKIN' Hay! I have been dying to get the opportunity to do this with her to capture the utter beauty of soul (as well as the many laughs that went along with the process). This girl is the whole package folks! Stunning, smart, funny, outgoing, compassionate, wise...you name it! Needless to say, it was an absolute blessing to spend time trying to capture all that on a beautiful summer day in Seattle (or rather Des Moines)! Also, we learned that Saltwater State Park is (wouldn't ya know it) a state park, and you have to pay to get into state parks, in case you didn't know (we did not). No biggie though considering it turned out to be a beautiful backdrop, totally reflective of Abby's personality! There are  not enough words to express my love for this girl and where I'd be without her!
